The Monroe County Archives is dedicated to preserving the history of Monroe County through the management and care of permanent and historical records while also providing the public with access to materials as applicable by law for reference and research.

It is our vision is to provide a safe, controlled environment necessary to preserve permanent and historical country records that will enable future generations to research, learn from, and appreciate local history.

To ensure that we can provide you with the best assistance, our office is open for research on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but please note that appointments are essential.
