Welcome to the Controller's Office

The Controller's Office is responsible for the financial affairs of the County of Monroe to ensure that county finances are administered, recorded and reported in a legal and timely fashion. 

The Controller's Office processes payroll for over 700 employees, reviews and processes all County bills, oversees grant programs from state and federal agencies and audits Monroe County's nine Magisterial District Court Justices and twenty Tax Collectors. In addition, this office also audits hotels, short term rentals, and county row offices.

The Controller also serves on the Employees Retirement Board, the County's Salary Board and the Prison Board of Inspectors.
